Popular website and sales platform for the wine trade gets a new name and logo, along with a host of new features.

Tokyo, August 24, 2023 – Vinimo, Japan’s pioneering e-commerce platform for the wine trade, has relaunched as Wine Kiosk. Originally developed by Tokyo-based e-commerce agency Netwise （本社：東京都渋谷区、代表：ローリンズ・マイケル）in 2014, the Vinimo online catalog and e-commerce solution for online wine sales has steadily evolved and improved over the years.

Netwise’s President, Michael Rollins, explains the rebranding this way: “The original ‘Vinimo’ name, though popular internally, posed pronunciation challenges, and was often confused with the prominent wine app, Vivino. The new name, Wine Kiosk, embodies simplicity and expresses the platform’s primary objective: effortless wine sales.”

The Wine Kiosk service is unique in Japan, being the only D2C sales platform created to serve the needs of the wine industry. Designed for importers, distributors, and wineries, the platform includes all of the features and functionality a wine company needs to launch an e-commerce-enabled website.

In addition to providing a complete e-commerce platform, Wine Kiosk also includes news and event management, blogging capabilities, photo galleries, press reviews, QR codes, and loyalty programs. Moreover, the system is completely bilingual, making it easy to launch a website in Japanese, English, or both. Wine Kiosk also integrates with payment processors like Stripe, Komoju, and PayPal, as well as third-party apps like Vivino, MailChimp, Google Analytics, and more.
